• The Coffee Shop at the Fife Folk Museum

Our go-to place in Ceres is the charming Coffee Shop at the Fife Folk Museum. This family-run spot offers a relaxed, friendly setting paired with excellent home-made food. Their fresh bagels and Callum’s homemade scones are the clear stand-outs — warm, flavourful and absolutely worth stopping for, whether you’re visiting the museum or simply exploring the village. Enjoy great coffee, freshly prepared dishes and a cosy atmosphere that keeps us returning time and time again.

  • The Village Cafe

The Village Cafe is a welcoming community-run cafe at the heart of Ceres village. Open Thursday to Monday, it offers an excellent selection of home-cooked food, fresh-baked cakes and great coffee, all prepared by a passionate team of local volunteers and staff. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch or a slice of something sweet after exploring Ceres or the Fife Pilgrim Way, the café provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with both sit-in and takeaway options. Dog-friendly and popular with walkers and cyclists, it’s a perfect stop during your time in the village.

  • Meldrums

Meldrums is the village’s main restaurant and a firm favourite of ours, offering a fantastic selection of freshly cooked meals. Open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner — including their popular Sunday Roasts — it’s the perfect spot for great food in a relaxed setting. Our top picks are the delicious hanging kebabs and the Sunday roast… both absolutely worth trying.

  • Ceres Inn

The Ceres Inn is the much-loved local village pub — a warm spot open throughout the week for drinks, with classic pub grub served on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s the perfect place to relax after exploring the village or to enjoy a friendly evening with locals and visitors alike.
