Both Welcome to Fife and Visit Scotland describes the Ceres ‘the most attractive village in Scotland’. It’s clear to see why with its unique village layout and attractive pan-tile cottages around a central green. There is a guide here, which is worth a read.
Ceres is also on the Fife Pilgrim Way A new 64 mile route from Culross or North Queensferry in the west to St Andrews in the north east. The route takes in spectacular views along the way.
Ceres Highland Games
The annual Highland Games held on Bow Butts on the last weekend in June. It is said to be the oldest free games in Scotland. It celebrates the return of local men from the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314.
