  • Osteria is a fresh and exciting Italian restaurant bringing authentic flavours to the area. The team deliver beautifully prepared dishes, warm hospitality and a relaxed setting — perfect for lunch or a special evening out. We especially love their wood-fire pizzas and beautifully crafted shared plates, all served with genuine Italian style and Scottish warmth.

  • The Courtyard is a fantastic local restaurant known for its small but carefully crafted menu, often featuring German and Bavarian classics. We especially look forward to their annual Oktoberfest — a real highlight and always full of flavour.

  • The Boudingait is an award-winning bar and restaurant serving delicious homemade dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients. It’s known for great pub food at affordable prices, with a warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes it a popular choice for both locals and visitors. A brilliant spot for a hearty meal, a casual drink, or a relaxed evening out.

St Andrews

  • The Gorgeous Cafe is one of our absolute favourite places to eat in the town — hugely popular, full of quirky décor, and always serving fantastic cakes and freshly made food. Don’t miss the hidden seating upstairs, a cosy little surprise that adds to its charm. Their standout bake is the incredible Prince of Cambridge Scones — a heavenly mix of white chocolate, blueberries and raspberries. Well worth the visit (and the calories!).

  • The Bothy offers Scottish classics delivered with a modern twist, using the finest local produce and set in stylish surroundings. Their menu features standout dishes. We love the decor and service here—and if the weather’s good, you can enjoy the small terrace tucked in the shadow of Holy Trinity Church.
  • T-Squared Social (St Andrews) is a brilliant reimagining of the old New Picture House cinema — now a stylish social space perfect for food, sport and fun. With a cinema screen, immersive sports bays and plenty of space to relax, it’s a must-visit for golf fans and sports lovers. Their food is excellent too, and we can highly recommend their amazing burger — a real standout. Whether you’re catching a game, enjoying a film, or dropping in for dinner, T-Squared Social brings a fresh, modern energy to St Andrews that we love.

  • The Peat Inn — just under five miles from the Steading — is a truly exceptional Michelin-starred restaurant and one of Scotland’s finest dining experiences. It’s our top choice for a special occasion, offering immaculate service, exquisite cooking and a warm, elegant setting that makes every visit feel memorable. Led by an acclaimed chef, the seasonal menus showcase the very best Scottish produce with incredible skill and creativity. A perfect place to celebrate, indulge and enjoy dining at its very best.

Fish & Chips

You simply can’t visit Fife without award-winning fish and chips — and our top choice in St Andrews is Tailend, available for sit-in or takeaway. Located in the heart of the town, Tailend is an award-winning seafood restaurant from the fourth-generation fish-mongers of Arbroath, supplying incredibly fresh local produce every day. If you’re grabbing a takeaway, there’s nothing quite like enjoying their signature fish & chips (with mushy peas and tartare sauce) in your car overlooking St Andrews Harbour — utterly perfect for that seaside treat
